Eva Paunova of the Class of 2005, member of the European Parliament, congratulates the Class of 2014

Eva Paunova graduated from Zlatarski International School in 2005 with the International Baccalaureate Diploma and the Bulgarian Diploma. She graduated in International Relations and Business Administration from the American University John Cabott in Rome and studied at Harvard University in the USA. In 2014 she was elected a member of the European Parliament. This is what Eva Paunova shares upon the graduation of the Class of 2014 at Zlatarski School:

‘Dear friends from Zlatarski School! I am very moved and grateful for having the opportunity to congratulate you upon your graduation. Today you are at the doorstep of your future. I was in the same position 10 years ago when I was here with my classmates, teachers and parents in the School yard.

My parents have always looked for the best education for me and have invested in it. It is a fact that here at Zlatarski School I participated in one of the first European Youth Parliament sessions and that my Extended Essay in the IB programme was on a topic related to the European Union. When you really believe in something and focus on your goals, your dreams come true. I have been working in the European Parliament for the past 5 years and I am to be a Member of the European Parliament in the next 5 years.

Zlatarski School gives you a very significant advantage to achieving your goals, therefore be yourself, believe in yourself and believe in the motto ‘I can’. I am sure that all of us want Bulgaria for the young, Europe for the young, a country and continent of advanced technology and innovations, a place where we can achieve our potential and ideas. This we can achieve only through high quality education.

I would like to thank the leadership of the school and the teachers for the vision of quality international education, which contributes not only for the personal development of Zlatarski School students, but also for the prosperity of Bulgaria and Europe. For the wellbeing and development of young people and our country. Good luck, dear friends!’
