The United World Colleges visit Zlatarski International School

On October 27, 2015, Zlatarski International School had the pleasure to welcome a delegation of IB Diploma students enrolled in the United World College of Maastricht, the Netherlands. The Bulgarian student Svetlana and five friends of hers from around the world – USA, Russia, Turkey, the Dutch Antilles and Laos – met with Zlatarski School’s sophomores and presented the resources of this major high school consortium, as well as the opportunities for high school students around the globe to apply to their system.

Later, the visitors exchanged information about the in-class and extracurricular activities of our own, and theirs, International Baccalaureate programmes. The visit supported by the St Cyril and St Methodius International Foundation was a great opportunity for us to appreciate the place of Zlatarski School within the global community of international schools who build together the ambitious vison of the International Baccalaureate Organisation to create young leaders for a better world.
