Representative from Cambridge International Education visits Zlatarski International School

This week at Zlatarski International School we had the pleasure of welcoming the Regional Head for Europe from Cambridge International Education. The visit included meetings with the School’s leadership and teachers, meetings with students of different age groups, visits to the classrooms, the science laboratory, the library, the computer center, the sport hall and the school grounds. Our guest was impressed by the organization of the educational process, the classes, the qualifications of the teachers and the achievements of our students. Zlatarski International School of Sofia was authorized as a Cambridge International School in 2010 with the right to teach the prestigious international programs Cambridge Secondary, International GCSE and A levels. For 15 years, Zlatarski School has been successfully preparing students for international exams, and so far over 600 of our students have successfully received their IGCSE certificates after grade 10. During the visit, students from grades 5-12 took part in lessons in various subjects from the international programs.

The Regional Head for Europe from Cambridge International Education, Mr. Nuttall met with our teachers and students from different classes, who shared their successes, academic and professional plans. He appreciated the hard work in the classrooms and the student projects displayed around the school, encouraging the use of the numerous resources of Cambridge International in the daily learning process. He was impressed by the academic achievements of our students over the years and the fact that Zlatarski International School, as the school with the longest international experience in Bulgaria, combines the high international standards with the national educational and cultural tradition. As part of the preparation for the visit, the School leadership reviewed the curriculum, subject schemes of work, teacher qualifications, curriculum planning, pedagogical methods, assessment standards and student results.
