Maturi 2025: High Results and 5 Perfect Scores for the students of Zlatarski International School

Reason to celebrate in 2025 is the fact that 65% of the students from the Class of 2025 of Zlatarski International School are graduating with excellent national diplomas with marks over 5.50 (out of 6.00). The average results in 2025 from the national diploma for our students is 5.57 (out of 6.00). Graduates of Zlatarski International School, following the Bulgarian national programme, in the top 10 this year are: Amalia Markova (6.00), Nia Karamfilova (6.00), Mihail Gaydarov (6.00), Stephanie Syarova (6.00), Edzhe Aksoy (6.00), Silvi Koleva (5.99), Martin Boyanov (5.99), Alina Drangajova (5.96), Sevay Atakan (5.94), Viktoria Grozdanova (5.93), Mikhail Bartuli (5.93).

In 2025, 49% of the students at Zlatarski International School achieved excellent scores of over 5,50 in the English language matura and 82% achieved a very good mark of 5.00 and over. In the Bulgarian language and literature matura 20% of the students achieved scores of over 5,50 and 50% got a result of 5.00 and over. Many of our students do not have Bulgarian as their first mother tongue, but having lived in Bulgaria and following the Bulgarian national programme, they still attempt taking the Bulgarian matura and we are proud of their achievements.

Perfect Scores

In 2025, graduates of the School achieved 5 perfect scores 6.00 (out of 6.00) in the national matura exams. This is an exceptional result. Amalia Markova from the Class of 2025 achieved a perfect score 6.00 (out of 6.00) in both matura exams: 6.00 in English and 6.00 in Bulgarian language and literature. In the English matura the other students with perfect scores were Diana Garnizova (6.00), Mira Kaneva (6.00) and Alexander Sharpe (6.00).

In 2025 five of our graduates achieved perfect scores of 6.00 (out of 6.00) in their school diplomas. These are: Amalia Markova (6.00), Nia Karamfilova (6.00), Mihail Gaydarov (6.00), Stephanie Syarova (6.00), Edzhe Aksoy (6.00). With these results Zlatarski School ranks among the leading schools in the country for a consecutive year.

In the top 10 for 2025 in Bulgarian language and literature matriculation exam are: Amalia Markova (6.00), Alina Drangajova (5.86), Yoanna Ilieva (5.80), Mina Pavlova (5.61), Mira Kaneva (5.52), Stefan Oresharov (5.52), Edzhe Aksoy (5.50), Nia Karamfilova (5.50), Alexander Hristov (5.45), Vassil Mihaylov (5.38).

Top Student Success

Amalia Markova, graduate of the Class of 2025 at Zlatarski International School, has been awarded the National Diploma, awarded to graduates with a perfect 6.00 results in all subjects, excellent results 6.00 in the state matriculation exams, as well as outstanding achievements in the fields of science, technology, arts, and sports. This is a national recognition of the most successful students in Bulgaria. Starting her education with us at our primary school, Amalia graduated with an outstanding bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma. She will be studying Medicine at the University of Bologna, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe.

Mira Kaneva from the Class of 2025 at Zlatarski International School achieved a perfect score (6.00) on the national matriculation exam in English language! Mira has chosen to continue her education in the field of Communications and PR. Her success is a testament to the power of an education that builds confidence, global thinking, and a strong drive for excellence.

Alexander Sharpe from the Class of 2025 at Zlatarski International School achieved a perfect score (6.00) on the national matriculation exam in English language! He has chosen to continue his studies at university in the field of Economics. This outstanding score is the result of years of focused preparation, academic dedication, and development in an environment that combines national educational standards with the international IB Diploma Programme.

Diana Garnizova from the Class of 2025 at Zlatarski International School achieved a perfect score (6.00) on the national matriculation exam in English language! This impressive result is the outcome of dedication, ambition, and serious preparation, as well as the professionalism of our teachers.

Graduating students from the Class of 2025, in addition to the state matriculation exams, sat international externally assessed exams leading to International Baccalaureate diplomas and certificates and the results will be published in early July. As early as the 10th grade students of Zlatarski International School sit the Cambridge International GCSE exams in English, Mathematics in English, History in English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry in English and Information Technology to help students compare their knowledge with peers from international schools around the world. The success of our graduates from Class 2025 is due to the joint efforts and purposeful work of students, teachers and parents.
