Young ambassadors delegation of more than 30 students from Israel visit Zlatarski International School of Sofia
Following a personal recommendation from the Israeli ambassador to Bulgaria, HE. Irit Lillian, on 18.04.2018 at Zlatarski International School of Sofia, an international forum will be held together with the Israeli Center for Young Leaders. 36 students from Israel will visit our school to talk with their peers on topical issues such as Gender Equality, Human Rights, Minority Challenges, and more.
Representatives of Zlatarski International School will be 11th grade students and 10th grade students, members of the School club for Public Speech and Debate. The event will be a great opportunity to exchange experiences, knowledge and perspectives with pupils coming from another culture. Zlatarski International School of Sofia maintains long-standing relationships with the Embassy of Israel in Bulgaria, as well as with the Jewish community in Bulgaria. Our pupil, who graduated in 2010, was also the son of Israel’s ambassador.
The event is part of Zlatarski International School’s programme for Intercultural Communication and Intercultural Mindedness. We are convinced that all students, whether directly involved in the event, will give a warm welcome to our visitors. Therefore, we ask all students who wish to bring in a small item, a souvenir from Bulgaria, for our guests. We also ask all students to be dressed in uniform.
