Viva Voce: Extended Essay defence at Zlatarski School
Today, October 9, forty IB Diploma students of Zlatarski International School passed through the internal oral examination: the so-called “Viva voce” (Latin for “by word of mouth”).
Zlatarski’s seniors presented their ongoing extended essay projects in Bulgarian literature, English literature, History, or Economics in front of their supervisors, other IB programme teachers and students from the lower grades.
“Frankenstein” and “The Book Thief”, Dimiter Talev and Elisaveta Bagryana, hippies and abolitionists, and dozens of others exciting subjects, filled five intense hours of abstract presentation, questions and answers, and discussions of methodology.
