IB Retreat 2024: Zlatarski International School accepts the new 11th grade students into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Two challenging and inspiring years lie ahead, in which students will develop into motivated young people, ready and able to achieve their dreams. The first step of this school year is the IB Retreat, which starts on 10 September 2024 (Tuesday) at 9:00 a.m. in the school hall.
At the event on 10 and 11 September from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the IB students will be introduced to the IB DP Regulations and Zlatarski International School Requirements for IB students. Teachers will present the subjects they teach, the requirements for SL/HL levels and the assessment criteria.
Students will receive syllabus outlines for each IB subject, an Internal Calendar containing deadlines for submission of written work and projects. The specifics of how the course of the IB Programme is combined with the study profiles of the Bulgarian programme will also be explained.
Students registered for IB Mathematics will complete a compulsory course for using graphic display calculator. All Full Diploma students will be involved in compiling their extracurricular activities and will create individual CAS profiles on the ManageBac platform. At the end of the two-day programme each student will sign a contract stating that they will abide by the regulations of the IB programme. Attendance is mandatory.
