The Aeneid: Comic book or how 9th graders at Zlatarski International School made studying Ancient Roman history and literature fun
Publius Virgil Maro is a Roman author who harassed students for centuries with a long poem written on the order of Emperor Augustus – the Aeneid. The piece describes the journey of the hero Aeneas from Troy to the shores of Italy. Obstacles, beautiful women, underworld prophetesses, murder – the Aeneid is one of the oldest stories of passion, duty and greatness.
Here’s how students from ninth grade on Zlatarski International School made fun learning ancient Roman history and literature. We present the comics of Michaela Ivanova and Maria Stateva, 9 b class – authors of the concept, illustrations and text.
