Charity in times of lockdown: Easter in Sofia

We are sharing the wonderful news of the great charity initiative of our youngest students in grade 5, lead by Mrs Rumyana Yordanova, teacher of art at Zlatarski International School. “Some time ago we decided to allocate 1 lev per day, while distance learning. With the collected sum of 150 lev for 2 weeks, with the support of the parents and the great enthusiasm of the students!, we bought sanitary materials, cosmetics, tea, coffee, cakes, fruit and … during Easter we too them to the Home of Veterans of Culture, based in Zaharna Fabrika.”, shares Mrs Yordanova. We are grateful to the parents, who donated masks and toiletries.

The students prepared good wishes for the residents of the Home and during the visit Mrs Yordanova delivered their wishes of health, beautifully presented on a papirus. The veterans from the Home were moved by the donations and the wishes of the students. This is because charity work continues, even in times of lockdown. From us:
