Test in English for all students
completing the 8 grade:

2008 At the
end of the 8 grade at Zlatarski School, as
well as in all high schools, having an
intensive language learning programme,
a test takes place. The test consists of
an oral and written exam. The main aim of
the test is to measure the acquired level
of knowledge in the foreign language and
the abilities of students to express
themselves in written and spoken form.

Schedule for the registration for the
2008/2009 academic year for current
students Enrolment for the next school year will follow the following procedures:
1) Approval of students by the school regarding results and marks, absences and discipline during the current academic year
2) Paid first installment of the tuition fees
3) Signing of the tuition contract between the parents and the school
Enrolment will follow the following deadlines. In the case of current students not enrolling, the school will offer a place to new students.

School Transport In order to book the school transport for the next school year, please fill out the required form and pay the first installment of 400 Euro when you enrol your children at the Finance Office. Please specify your exact address. Respecting the enrolment deadlines will make the organisation of the school transport much easier and preferences will be guaranteed. School transport for the whole year costs 800 Euro in both directions and 550 Euro in one direction. |

Notebooks The School offers notebooks packs for the
students in grades 8 to 10. The packs have
been prepared according to the
requirements for each academic subject.
In order to purchase, please
fill out the required form and pay a
deposit of 50 leva. |

Calculators All future
IB
students are
required to have graphic calculators
(Texas
Instruments TI 83
plus),
with which we
work in Maths, Physics, Biology and
Economics, by 16 June 2008. The School
orders the calculators from abroad (140
Euro each) for all students, who fill out
the required form by 9
June 2008. Students with calculators
will attend the calculator training
sessions between 16 and 27 June 2008. |

Students Grade books and Summer
Reading Lists will be given out on 30 June 2008, the last day of school by their class teachers.Students will receive their gradebooks at
the end of the school year only if they
have returned to the school library all
textbooks and books. The schedule for textbook return can be

Parents meeting 5.06.2008 at 5.00pm. On 5 June 2008 the last parents meeting for the year will take place at Zlatarski School. You will receive organizational information regarding the upcoming events and activities associated with the end of the school 2007/2008 year. |

According to the National schedule set by the Ministry of Education the students at Zlatarski School will have the following holidays:
Spring Break - 29.03. - 08.04.2008 inclusive;

On 27.03.2008 between 3pm and 7pm individual consultations regarding student performance in the third quarter will take place between parents and teachers at Zlatarski School. Our teachers will be avialable for a prolonged period so that parents can individually meet them. You will find the schedule of teachers and their rooms at the entrance of both buildings. Class teachers will expect all parents in the class rooms at 5.30pm for a class meeting. Class teachers will distribute the Progress Reports and will inform you about upcoming events and the holiday schedule. |

Mock Oral Exams in English for all 8 graders. On 12 and 13 February 2008 all 8 graders at Zlatarski School will sit the mock oral exams in English, covering the material studied so far. In these two days there will be no classes. The students will attend school according to the announced by the class teachers schedule. |

End of First Term. The first term ends on 31.01.2008. Students will receive their gradebooks with their term grades in all subjects. The mid term break will take place on 1, 2 and 3 February. On 4 February students are expected at the school for the start of the second term. |

Dear parents! On 17.01.2008 at 5.30 pm a parents meeting at Zlatarski School will take place. The session is aimed at informing parents on their children's achievements regarding the end of the first term. You will be able to receive information on the academic results, discipline and development of your children from our subject teachers and class teachers. |

Information Session for 10 grade Students: IB Diploma Programme 14. 12 2007 at 3pm. Dear parents and 10 grade students, Zlatarski School invites you to the information session for IB Diploma Programme Admission 2008/9 on 14.12.2007at 3 pm. We will introduce you to the specifics of the International Baccalaureate Programme, with the School requirements and the admissions requirements and schedule. You will have the chance to meet our IB teachers, and talk to current IB students as well as Zlatarski School alumni. The information session takes place in the School Auditorium. 2 November 2007 – No Classes for Students and In-Service Professional Development Day for Teachers at Zlatarski School. 2 November 2007 is a professional development day at Zlatarski School. Teachers will take part in seminars focusing on assessment and marking as well as the coming National high school examinations. Teachers will take part in the seminars by departments. Students have no classes on this day! |

1 November 2007 – Day of National Revivals It is a tradition for Zlatarski School to celebrate 1 November with out-of-school activities for all grades. Have a look at the organized activities for 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 grades. Student attendance is compulsory! |
